Some children's therapy needs may be short term as is the case of sports injuries or reluctant walkers; where as some children's therapy needs may consist of extended specialized therapy in the case of children with significant developmental and or physical delays. APT aims to help these individuals enhance their potential in activities at home and school and eventually independent living with varied interventions which include:

  • Stretching, strengthening and massage therapy
  • Endurance training
  • Kinesiotaping
  • Neuromuscular facilitation
  • Electrical stimulation
  • Splinting, bracing and adapting equipment
  • Integration of social skills along with cognitive learning

APT's pediatric physical therapists will incorporate many different approaches into every day play time activities using, swings, balls, slides, and other toys to improve eye-hand coordination as well as balance and posture stability. Pediatric Physical Therapists work closely with children to ensure proper development in sitting, crawling, rolling, walking, running and participation in sports and games found in our vestibular equipment.

Our pediatric physical therapists support and assist in the treatment of a variety of pediatric delays and disabilities such as:
